                        Safe Porch Standard Equipment

◘   A 48" x 38" hatch door is cast into the shelter.
◘   A 4" coupler is cast in to be used as a vent.
◘   A 1-1/2" coupler is cast in for use with a sump pump.
◘   A corner in the shelter floor is recessed for locating a sump pump (not included).

 

Safe Porch Optional Equipment

 

◘   Wooden ladder steps to attach to the hatch opening are available for an

      additional charge.
◘   Concrete steps and retaining wall blocks are also available for an

      additional charge.

Safe Porch Installation

◘   Three or four inches of sand should be used to slope the bottom of the hole.

◘   We recommend the original dirt be used to backfill around the tank

      Do not backfill with sand.
 

Note:  Due to conditions similar to a basement, a sump pump or natural drainage may be required. Due to the uncertainty of specifications, 14 days notice is required on storm shelter orders.
